Worship at Second

Worship at Second is warmly liturgical, focusing upon the Word of God and rooting us in a wider tradition.

As a part of the body of Christ, we value connectedness with the greater universal church, our brothers and sisters sharing the Reformed tradition today, and with those who have come before us.

We emphasize historical liturgical tradition in our order of worship, which reflects the belief that God calls us to worship, to be in God’s presence and with each other, and to live out the love of Christ in a spirit of gratitude.

To do this, we regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion), perform the Sacrament of Holy Baptism upon request, and use weekly scripture lessons from a calendar, called a lectionary, that we share with millions of other Christians worldwide. We look forward to including you and walking with you; that together we might experience a depth in worship.
