
At Second Church, we value making our building available to the wider community. This looks like our building being used throughout the week by different organizations and groups in the form of administrative meetings, music rehearsals, blood drives, etc.

For over 50 years, Second Church has partnered with Bethany to support children in foster care over the holidays. During the month of November, we collect gift cards and donations towards this project.

CROP Walk (a ministry of Church World Service). The CROP Hunger Walk is an annual fundraiser/community event to raise money for both local and global food related ministries. Church World Service is one of the largest ecumenical relief and development ministries in the nation. Note: The annual Holland/Zeeland area walk is usually in May.

A treble choir of West Ottawa Alumni that rehearses weekly throughout the school year under the direction of Pam Pierson.

Six times a year, Second Church and Don’s Flowers & Gifts team-up to host a blood drive with Versiti. Events are highlighted via the church’s Facebook page, including links to sign-up for appointments. Consider giving this incredible gift of life if you are able!

Second Reformed Church is the chartering organization for the Boy Scouts of America here in Zeeland, MI. We have many opportunities for people of all ages to be involved in scouting!
BSA Troop 21 is for boys 11 to 17 years old. Troop 21 is a very active troop with frequent camping trips, adventure outings, service projects, and fun activities all year long. Contact Ralph Carle or Neil Besteman for more information.
Troop 2 (aka “Second Troop”) is West Michigan’s very first Scouts BSA Troop for girls! All girls ages 11 to 17 are welcome to join. Contact Tami Lauritzen de Garcia or Neil Besteman for more information.

We partner with the Bridge Youth Center to host a cooking class for students that work with skilled community members to learn basics of nutrition, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
